Coalition Pens Letter to Appropriations Leaders in Response to Trump FY26 Budget Request
On Tuesday, May 20, the STEM Education Coalition sent a letter to Congressional appropriations leaders regarding FY 2026 federal spending priorities to advance STEM education in response to the FY26 proposal from the Trump Administration.
“By neglecting to prioritize STEM education, the Administration risks undermining the very workforce needed to achieve its stated goals of maintaining U.S. leadership in these critical fields. The absence of explicit support for STEM education programs signals a troubling disconnect between the Administration’s technological ambitions and the educational foundation required to sustain them.”
